ABOUT HOMEOPATHY.
Homeopathy is a
complete system of healing discovered over 200 years ago by a German
physician, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. Based upon the simple understanding
that "like
cures like," it has since developed into a sophisticated science
of diagnosis and prescription offering a wide variety of homeopathic
remedies to use in the healing process. One well known example
of homeopathy at work is the use of the homeopathic dilution of poison
ivy (also known as Rhus toxicodendron in Latin) to relieve the effects
of itching and burning of the skin. An evolution in homeopathy has resulted
in the Clinical approach which uses complexes and has a high rate of
success in relieving contemporary diseases.
Homeopathic remedies
are all natural. They are made from minute amounts of substances from
the plant, animal and mineral kingdoms. These substances are diluted
to as much as one part in ten billion and beyond! Because of this they
have no harmful side effects. Scientists have theorized that homeopathy
may work in your body somewhat like enzymes or hormones, which can be
found in similar minute quantities, yet have very dynamic actions in
the body.
Homeopathy has helped
uncounted millions of people since its inception. It is very commonplace
in many parts of the world including Europe, where over 100 million
people use it on regular basis. Even in America earlier this century,
the most prestigious medical schools in this country were homeopathic
medical schools. This changed soon after, however, as fast-acting allopathic
drugs were introduced. Few knew then of the dangerous side-effects inherent
in synthetic pharmaceutical drugs. Today, because of a renewed understanding
of drug toxicity and its detrimental effects on health, homeopathy is
again growing rapidly in America. Millions of Americans have begun to
re-discover homeopathy and its benefits.
